The histoire apo #Europe!

There was once, a long long time ago, when dinosaurs roamed the planet...
Well actually no... that's a bit too far back.
But anyway, I really had to dig into my logfiles, because it's been a while now since the channel began as it is today.

The first time I joined #Europe was the 2nd of September 2002. It turned out that there was some kind of a Canadian prick holding the channel, just so Europeans could not have their own channel. I felt the urge that this needed to change. Well, how do you start in a situation like that? You simpy ask if you can have the channel :p That however, didn't work out so good, as you can read in the first log file.

Well, of course now you think that I actually took the channel from him, but that's not entirely true. I simply waited for the channel to free up again, as he had banned just about everyone and only had a few bots to keep the channel open. It was just a matter of 2 months for the right situation to occur, where all his bots pinged out because of a hickup in the Internet or an IRC netsplit. This happened on the 6th of November 2002 as you can read in the second log file.

Then hell broke lose. The previous owner didn't like that he lost his channel, so a war started that lasted for at least a few weeks. Packets were flying around and he did many attempts to take over some of my other channels (which fortunately all failed). Eventually I got so sick and tired of his tricks, that I decided to find his weak spot :p After about 5 minutes searching, I found the answer in a simple /whois on his nickname; he obviously spent a lot of time in #teens, #teenzone and #teenage. So I figured: he might have a weak spot for young innocent girls. So, the next step was to dress up as a young innocent girl ;) (but then on IRC of course:p)
What happened then is what you can read in the third log file. As you can see, he already gave me his first name, age, location, E-mail address and revealed his real IP-address by attempting to DCC send me his picture (which I didn't accept, or else he would have had mine too). I actually -did- email him with a picture of a random pretty girl from a website and he tidely replied with some of his pictures and his last name in the "From" field. After looking up his street address and phone number, and armed with all his information, I sent out a bunch of abuse E-mails to his provider, made his cable connection operate somewhat like a light switch and showed him some of his information right in his face, after which he gave up on the war straight away.

Today #Europe is still a pretty quiet place, but slowly growing and always open for everyone. We have a bunch of regular members now, and not only from Europe ;)

That's about all I know really :p
